CONGRESS VENUE: The 8th International Workshop on Neonatal Nephrology will be held in Rome at the Aula Convegni of THE NATIONAL RESEARCH COUNCIL P.le Aldo Moro, 7 - ROME (near to the "La Sapienza" University).

DATES: The meeting will start in the afternoon of Thursday April 16 to allow delegates to arrive in the morning, and will finish in the afternoon of Saturday April 18. Please remember that April 12 is Easter Sunday.

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE: Will be available to each registeredcongress Participant upon request on the morning of April 18th.

OFFICIAL LANGUAGES: English and Italian (simultaneous translation will be provided).

The title of the congress, the name of the delegate and the name of the company must be clearly indicated in the bank transfer. If a check is sent it is important to enclose the Registrant’s name and address printed or typed.

SOCIAL DINNER: Is included in the Participant’s full fees. Social dinner for Accompanying persons, aged under 30 and nurses (100,000 Lit., VAT included) must be paid before March, 15th 1998

CANCELLATION POLICIES: any cancellation must be made in writing and in subject to the following conditions: refund of fees, less a 25% administrative charge will be applied for cancellation up to March 16th, 1998, no refunds after this date. All refunds will be processed after the Congress closing date.

Papers are invited from all different fields of Neonatal Nephrology.

Different types of presentations will be accepted at the meeting: 7 minute oral presentation, 3 minute poster presentation, poster without presentation, 10 minute clinical case presentation.

Complete scientific papers (including tables, figures, references) will be partecipating in the 1998 Neonatal Nephrology Study Group Prize (1,000 USD) - (Deadline February 16th 1998):

1 - Seven minute presentation, including discussion. Dual projection of 35 mm slides will be available.

2 - Poster presentation (three minute presentation), with maximum 6 single or double slides: prijection discussion will be possibly gathered for presentations on similar subject.

3 - Poster without presentation: The selected posters will remain on display for the whole meeting in the poster exhibition hall to give the best opportunity to all of the participant for viewing during the meeting. The poster format measures 1.0 m wide by 1.8 m high. Numbered boards will be provided at the venue for mounting posters.

4 - Clinical Cases presentation (10 minute including discussion).

Deadline February 16, 1998 for viewing and selection by the Scientific Committee.

The Abstract Form must be filled out carefully following the enclosed instructions, and received by February, 16 1998.

1. Use the Abstract Form provided or a clean photocopy of it
2. You can submit you abstract here.

3. Type title of abstract in CAPITAL LETTERS
4. Surnames of Authors(s) preceded by initials. No titles
5. Name of Institution/Affiliation, city and country
6. Use a laser printer from PC - Do not use dot matrix printer
7. Type abstract in English, times new roman font, type size 8 points, single spaced (Please send too a 3.5" PC disckette containing yuor abstract in a file wrote in Word 2.0 or 6.0, doc & txt extension.Windows 3.1 IBM o Macintosh are welcome. Please wright your family name as a file name).

9. Five paragraphs for entire abstract: BACKGROUND, AIMS, METHODS, RESULTS, CONCLUSIOS: one or two references can be included (only in the text), omitting Authors names and title (e.g.: J Pediatr, 108:

11. Submit original plus 7 copies: the copies must exclude authors and institution for the anonymous selection.

Badges: the name badge issued to delegates on registration serves as an admission pass to all scientific session, the exhibition and official social events included in the registration fee. Delegates are asked to ensure that wear their name badges on all occasions.
